Hunting

Last night we were watching Sarah Palin's Alaska hunting episode. They were hunting caribou and our kids thought it was the coolest thing. We have really been enjoying that show. I'm not sure if it is doing her any favors in the political department, but its fun to see Alaska. What a beautiful place!
This afternoon I walked into the living room and found some of the kids "hunting". So funny to observe! When I saw what they were hunting I had to laugh. They "bagged" (I think that's the technical term?) a couple sock monkeys and a few teddy bears.

What a Difference a Year Makes!

Last Thanksgiving we were enjoying our tiny little girl. Now we have a wild one year old! This year has gone by so fast. Lilly is everywhere and into everything. We all sure love our Lilly Jilly! One year later and the kids still "fight" over who gets to hold her or sit by her in the car. She is treated like a little princess and I'm a little afraid we are spoiling her ;). She was very pleased with her birthday crown and enjoyed wearing it. It was cute.

Early Halloween

This year we had a fairy, a Jessie and a lady bug.

We also had a balding man, Obeonekanobi (I have no idea how to spell that!) and Darth Vader.

Tuesday night we had our ward Halloween prarty. The kids had a great time dressing up and "trunk or treating". Costumes and candy are always fun!

Gross, Funny & Cute

This is how Lilly eats. What a mess!
Lilly loves bath time. This face cracks me up!

Just being her cute self.

Abby

Sunday we said good-bye to my sister Abby. She reported to the MTC on Wednesday October 20th. She will be missed, but we are excited for her too! She is going on a mission to Belgium/Netherlands. I am thankful for her example of service and faith. I look forward to hearing about all her adventures. We are really going to miss "Aunt Abby"!

Matching

My grils decided they wanted to match today. It is so sweet that they get to have 1 year at the same school. Skylee loves that all the big 6th graders know who she is and Kelsey enjoys having an adorable mini her in kindergarten. They are both having a fun year!

Dentist

Hunter was super brave at the dentist last week! He was so freaked out about going, but ended up having a "good" experience.
His little smile was so funny! He got three shots because he did not want to feel anything.

His face and mouth stayed numb for about 5 hours. According to Hunter that was part of his plan. He wanted three shots so he would stay numb and get to stay home from school. Little did he know that he could not eat anything until the stuff wore off! He is going back tomorrow for one filling and we are hoping he will be just as brave.

Growing up - almost nine months!

Lilly has been very busy growing up. She changed so much this summer. She learned to crawl in June. She started off slow, but by July she was everywhere. She has loved "standing" since she was about 3-4 months. She started pulling up next to furniture shortly after mastering crawling. It did not take long for her to figure out how to just stand up. She has some major thigh muscles. She constantly squats and stands. We love watching her learn and grow. She hasn't taken any unassisted steps yet. She does push her walker. Will she be an early walker? Who knows.... She sure seems in a hurry to grow up! I seriously wish she came with a "pause" button.

Back to school

School started on Monday. We all agree that summer was not long enough. Everyone seemed to have a good day. They all really like their teachers which may or may not last. This is the last year that they will all be at the same school. We just need a 1st and 4th grader and we would have one in each grade!

Skylee had a great first day. I have been worried and wondering if we have prepared her enough to send her out into the "world". It's hard to let my little buddy go. She's my pal and we spend most of our time together. When I picked her up I realized that maybe I have it backwards. I should be asking if the world is ready for her! She is so awesome!
After school Skylee insisted we needed balloons because it was a special day. She later clipped them to Lilly just to see if she would float. I think every child tries this at some point.

It didn't work, but Lilly thought it was fun!

That's Hairlarious!

I saw this idea for pigtails and I thought it would be fun to try and make some. I googled some key words to see what I could find and it turns out there are a couple people out there who make and sell them. Who knew? Anyway, I ordered some and I'm not sure the order went through so long story short I decided just to make some. We get a kick out of seeing Lilly with hair and now I have another fun thing to make when I feel the need to get crafty.

Just something I want to remember...

About 2 weeks after Lilly was born Saddie gave birth to her 5 puppies. Our kids are used to our dogs having puppies and about 8 weeks later we sell them. No more tears are shed when the puppies go to there new homes. So I guess when Lilly was born Skylee was not sure what to think. One morning she came in my room and asked if we were going to keep her or sell her! It took me a second to realize what she was saying. I wanted to laugh and cry all at once. She thought her baby sister was like one of the puppies! I calmly asked her what she would like to do. She said, " well she's cute! I think we should keep her!" I was very happy with that answer! I love Skylee's age. The way her mind works and the things she says keep us on our toes and very amused.

Code brown!

Last Monday we went to this fun pool with some friends in our ward.
Here are some of the girls.

Lilly and daddy.

Hunter.

These two are like little fish!
A great time was had by all until a "CODE BROWN" happened. A little gross, but they gave us free passes to go back.

4th of July

Our festivities began at the Harringtons house. This is a picture of Lilly and Paige "playing" together.
We watched fireworks out in the hills on the back of our trailor. The weather was perfect all day. It was a little chilly after the sun went down.

Lindsey, Ashley and their little ones.

Macy and her mom

Hunter. The night flash was crazy bright! Most of the pictures I took had closed eyes in them.

This is the front half of the trailor.

Here is the back half.

These two have so much fun together.
